Kilan Bishop (she/her) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science. She is an interdisciplinary health scientist interested in how social-environmental factors pattern and exacerbate health disparities. Her research portfolio offers a unique perspective on environmental health issues that affect medically vulnerable populations, particularly in the context of climate change and urbanization. Dr. Bishop was an inaugural recipient of the 2024 Data for Black Lives Movement Scientist Fellowship to further her work in climate and health. She is an editorial board member for Environmental Research Health and a board member for People's Economic and Environmental Resiliency Group. She also previously served as Vice-Chair of the City of Miami Climate Resilience Committee and a steering committee member for the Miami Climate Alliance.
