Dr. Traylor-Knowles is an Associate Professor in Marine Biology and Ecology at University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Sciences where she leads the Cnidarian Immunity Laboratory. She is excited about developing cnidarians for models in regeneration, wound healing, and comparative models for immune function. Specifically, she is interested in the discovery of novel antimicrobials, the mechanisms of regeneration, stem cell transplantation applications, and the evolution of the immune system.
