Sarah is a senior at the University of Miami pursuing a double major in Marine Science and Biology with a minor in Marine Policy. Through her senior thesis research in Dr. Langdon’s Ocean Acidification lab, Sarah has developed a solid foundation in coral physiology, ocean acidification, carbonate chemistry, and experimental design for assessing stress responses in marine organisms. She enjoys exploring complex questions by combining perspectives across disciplines, particularly examining how insights from marine organisms can inform our understanding of human health. Her passion for innovative thinking and for viewing the ocean as a rich, diverse scientific resource has led her to begin exploring research in marine biomedicine as she looks toward graduate school.
